On Thursday, EPA released the pre-published version of a proposed rule covering pesticide active ingredients, polyether polyols, and group IV polymers and resins. (This proposal was required by a consent decree deadline of November 30.)  Comments will be due 60 days after it is published in the Federal Register.  The final rule is due by November 30, 2012.

This rulemaking is a smaller piece of what was to be, as originally explained by EPA a few months ago, a broader, consolidated chemical sector rule.  (EPA has indicated that the other pieces of that planned consolidated rule, including the MON and the HON, may now be proposed in the spring of 2012.)
