After initially pursuing an aggressive regulatory agenda of RCRA and CERCLA rules, EPA delayed many actions until after the 2012 election.  Some of these regulations are now proceeding and others remain in limbo.  Regulations of interest to the chemical industry include E-manifest, CERCLA Financial Assurance, and the RCRA Definition of Solid Waste.  Also of interest is EPA’s use of environmental justice analyses in rulemaking.

In this webinar, Susan Bodine, an environmental attorney and former Acting Assistant Administrator of EPA’s Office of Solid Waste and Emergency Response, will speak about these regulatory issues.  Additionally, Ms. Bodine will address recent legislation in the House relating to CERCLA and RCRA regulatory issues.

Topics to be discussed include:

  • RCRA
  • Definition of Solid Waste
  • CERCLA 108(b)
  • Financial Assurance

Who should attend?

Anyone with an interest in RCRA waste-related issues, especially SOCMA members, should attend. This includes business owners, EHS&S staff, regulatory affairs staff, etc.
